CM Punk Went Home -OR- Are We Being Punk’d?
The rumor mill is still churning and the internet/social media is abuzz over the possible departure of wrestling mega star CM Punk from the WWE. Wrestling is no stranger to wrestlers being let go or asking for their early release. It isn’t the departure that is so shocking it is the way that Punk left that has everyone talking. “Im going home” are the last words rumored to be said by punk before he walked out. Are we, the fans, getting worked or is this the real thing? Thats the million dollar question.
For what its worth as of now the WWE twitter account has un-followed CM Punk, and Punk was a no show on the RAW and other house shows that he was advertised to be a part of in the days after the Royal Rumble. He has also been removed from all future WWE events. Punk has never been shy about admitting that he is not a fan of “Part-timers” coming in and stealing spots and TV time from the guys who work hard all year long and not just at Wrestlemania season. It has also been said that Punk was not at all happy about learning his proposed role at Wrestlmania 30. It has been levied that Punk was angry when he found out he’d be wrestling Triple H at WrestleMania instead of squaring off in the title match. All of this along with the fact that Punk has been very vocal about how injuries are catching up to him is all the more reason to believe that punk is really gone which will leave a huge hole in the main roster when Wrestlmaina is over and all the part timers fade away. On the other hand we all could be getting “Punk’d.” I guess we will have to wait and watch.
