Mina The Hollower Finally Coming This Spring

In February of 2022 Yacht Club Games launched a Kickstarter campaign for their next major title, Mina the Hollower. A Gameboy inspired action-adventure game in the vain of Link’s Awakening and Castlevania, you take control of Mina a mouse-sized monster hunter in the backdrop of gothic horrors. Mina’s Belmont inspiration is complete with an upgradable whip, and a slew of secondary weapons with different effects.
To say I was excited for this launch is an understatement as I had just completed a playthrough of their second title Cyber Shadow, a fun re-tread of Ninja Gaiden. And I still hold their first game, Shovel Knight, in high regard along with the rest of the gaming space as it was probably one of the most popular indie titles ever prior to Undertale. It has been a 4 year wait for this title and even a few missteps and attempts to launch earlier (most recently October of 2025). But now we have yet another official announcement from Yacht Club and we are looking at a SPRING of 2026 release.
What day of spring? What month? Well that we don’t know. Do we know if this will even be the ACTUAL release? No we do not. But a lot of insider news and an official DEMO exclusively on the PS5 was released after this trailer dropped. So it’s looking like a good year for Mina The Hollower followers!
Yacht Clubs ability to bring classic game design to the present has always been a draw for me. Mina pulls of the 8-bit look from a top-down Gameboy experience and the art design is S-Tier. I for one, cannot wait to experience Yacht Clubs’ next big hit.
Mina the Hollower will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
